YO! Sushi Selfridges Birmingham

I have been many times at Yo sushi and the food is great, there is a wide range of sushi and sashimi, you can choose from the menu or the belt. I recomend to those who like japanese food.

Not very good at all. Would not eat here again. My wife is Japanese and a real sushi fan and she thought it was rubbish and expensive. If you fancy break from shopping and want a bottled Japanese beer, thats all Yo Sushi is good for.

I am from Birmingham and I have lived in Japan for 2 years and frequently eaten Japanese food and enjoy it very much.

My girlifreind who is Japanese, was visiting. We had finishing our shopping and decided to try YO Sushi, my girlfreind had tried it in London when she was a student here. She did not think much of it.

But when I saw the sashimi magaro (tuna) it did not have the dark purple look that raw tuna has it tasted like salmon but yo shishi tried to pass it of as tuna.

Me and my girlfreind was speaking japanese on how bad a representation of japanese food this is, when the manager who is Japanese over heard us speaking and she also agreed it was pretty awful.

But it was busy with people who I think do not know much about Japanese cuisine and Yo Sushi I think was taking advantage of their ignorance.

Will not even think about eating there again very poor.

This is not an authentic taste experience and certinaly does not equate for a nice meal in town

As a quick snack in a shopping break it's a refreshing change to theusual Mc's etc.

But if Selfridges did a burger bar....
