I came back to the Plaza on 11-dec-07 for the first time in a year or so (I moved away from the area). It was as good as it ever was.

I took the grandchildren for their first Indian meal and they took a great deal of trouble to make sure they cooked something that was not too hot for them.

The food at the Plaza differs from other eateries in the area as it is owned by Indian Sikhs and I've has great enjoyment over the years comparing the different styles of cooking.

I have visited the plaza many times and if you are looking for a cheap meal, crap service, ignorant staff, reasonably good food then I would fully recommend. I would definately avoid this place if you are taking family.

4 OF US WENT TO THE PLAZA ON FRIDAY 13TH JULY . WE SAT DOWN ON TIME AND ASKEDFOR POPADOMS AND DIP WHICH WERE CRISP AND FRESH , WE PROCEEDED WITH THE MAIN COURSES WHICH WERE CHICKEN BOONA , LAMB AND MUSHROOM BALTI AND TWO CHICKEN BALTI'S. WE ALSO HAD PLAIN NAN AND KEEMA NAN (WHICH TURNED OUT TO BE ABSLUTELY SUPERB). Although 4th February waasn't the first time I'd visited this restaurant, it may well be the last. I'd booked a table for 14 two weeks in advance, so they could hardly have said they weren't expecting us (and since this was also a Saturday, the walk-in custom wasn't insignificant). Yet, it took an hour for our starters to arrive, and a further hour for the main course. Smaller parties were arriving, being served, paying and leaving well before we'd eaten. One of our party - a diabetic - ordered a diet cola; it never arrived.

We were told this was all due to a shortage of staff - yet why was this, as we were expected?

The food itself varied. My own was very good; but others couldn't actually finish their meals.

Not good - and, at the moment, not recommended.
