I visited the Punjab Paradise for the first time this evening. The food was fast to arrive but we were a little disappointed as the flavor was quite bland for a curry especially a Madras. Very tender meat though. The staff were very nice and the decor was quite beautiful. Nice and clean too. Go Back?....Yes, I would.

i went to the punjab on ladypool road in birmingham. it is the first time i have ever been there - we only went in because the waiter came out and begged us to go in and so we did and i can say it was ok, not the best but not the worst. i had the meat and mushroom curry madras - hot but it wasn't hot enough for me but everything else was very good. waiters was very helpful and i will go back again.

I have been going to the Punjab with my friends for years, we love it!! I recently took my mother and grandmother there and they too really enjoyed the food. Agreed, the baltis arent the most spectacular i've had but they always tastey, are never greasy, and you dont wait an age for it to arrive, which is more than I can say for a lot of the curry houses I have been to.

Its great for big groups as the food is cheap and you can bring your own alcohol.

I will be remaining a loyal customer, infact im going tonight!

The food was dreadful!!!! Ordered different balti's, and they clearly used the same base sauces. Use to be good, not anymore.

Following the positive reviews on this place travelled from Stafford Friday 19th May for a meal there. Got there place not very busy unlike the buffet two shops down however got in and ordered the special mix starter for two followed by two king prawn baltis at £10 each. The started was excellent came sizzling to the table we bith enjoyed that but the two king prawn baltis that followed were the worse non tasting baltis I have ever had. The prawns were like slightly chewable rubber balls in a sauce that resembles oxtail soup. It was watery non tasting non consistent and awful. It is the first time in thirty years currying that my wife has left king prawn on her plate. The keema nan was just ok being overcooked and the bill of £32 left me feeling ripped off. after leaving I saw the buffet house now heaving with customers wishing I had followed my earlier instincts. I cannot understand the positive reviews on this place unless they are left there by the owners or staff. This is the first review I have ever given of a balti house in over 30 years of our adiction to eating Asian

foods but feel oblidged in this instant. In future we shall stay local to the many excellent eating houses of Stafford

I've been to this restaurant several times since 1992 and it's changed quite a lot i terms of appearance.

It's now quite a looker with cream marble interior decor and snazzy leather couches in the reception ( a far cry from when it used to be a spit n sawdust balti house ).

I usually go with mates from work and we really enjoy the Punjabi Special Balti - Asian Style ( a little more kick ).

The sauces are rich and tasty and the breads are large and fresh.

The high point is the Mixed Sizzler Starter for as many people as you need it for.

It's served on a bed of minted onions which cook as the starter is devoured. You are left with a bed of onions which have been basting in the juices of the starter on the iron skillet.

Thoroughly recommended.

Also there is parking opposite in a garage fourcourt, this is monitored by a very friendly old man. We always give him a tip for the service.
