The food was fantastic coffee is good

Fantastic

i was there with my wife after a long day shopping. The place was busy, and from my experience I always try to dine at busy restaurants as the food is normally fresh. We popped in and straight away were greeted and welcomed by a member of staffs. We were seated and explained about the soup and fish of the day. A smily waitress took our order and after few minutes we had our drinks and Italian bread and olives on the table. Not long after our main arrived. So I was right, my grilled seabass was accompanied with some grilled pepper and aubergine, looked so fresh,tasty and healthy, and my wife's vegetarian pasta was cooked in a perfect sauce and portion was so generous. For our dessert my wife had a strawberry cheese cake and I just had my double espresso to boost me up, a proper coffee as the waitress claimed illy coffee is a top Italian coffee. I do recommend del Villaggio and definitely will go back again. Thanks

I was visiting Birmingham the other day and had a meal in Del Villaggio in Bullring with my friends and family.

I am a big fan of Italian cuisine and had an excellent experience there. The pizzas are amazing and reasonably priced. The sauce tastes fresh, the crust is thin and snappy, and the blended cheeses are terrific.

The staff are very friendly, welcoming and attentive, and gave us a very nice table. The atmosphere was lively and exciting. The food arrived on the table very quickly, it was great.

I would certainly recommend Del Villaggio to everyone for good Italian food and service in Bullring and great value for money.

We were there on a Sunday and I have never felt rushed to finish my meal no matter how busy the restaurant was and the food never felt dropped in standards and it was fresh and tasty.

I know I will be back there just for their Funghi All Aglio and Crema starter! Wish there was such a nice place to eat in the shopping centre close to where I live in London!

i was visiting bullring with my friend and saw the special offer 3 course meal for 9.99, so we thought let's try it out...amazing..food, service, atmosphere, and 100% value for money with our special offer!!!

we'll definitely go back there

What a wait for our food! After 50 minutes I asked where our food was, it's just coming, I told them 2 minutes or we would pay for our drinks and go, hey presto the food arrives! The food was good but the service was very lacking with a lot of front of house staff. I made sure that we didn't pay the 10% service charge. I believe in tipping when I have received good service, sadly lacking here!

Another couple near us waited 1 1/2 hours - no way.....

We visited Del Villaggio today at lunch time. We ordered 3 cokes at a cost of over £3 each and a cup of tea. Our food was a salad, pasta, antipasti and a lasagna, plus garlic bread. Our bill was £66 including a service charge. The lasagna was presented in a square and had obviously been re-heated, the taste was awful. The antipasti was bland and nothing special at all. Both the pasta and the lasagna tasted of far too bitter tomato sauce. The restaurant is very overpriced for the standard of food served. My Canadian relative was totally disgusted by the cost and standard of the food and stated it was the worst they had eaten during their visit to England.
