We went to Jimmy Spices on Thursday 11th February which was during half term. The selection was good compared to similar places. The prices were reasonable and more competitive than we expected. We have 2 small children under 2 and found the staff to be helpful and courteous.

Went to dine at Jimmy Spices in Sutton Coldfield and was very impressed . I like to take the wife and kids once a week to eat out everywhere from Mcdonalds to proper fine dining restaurants in town. I was impressed with the friendly service, the quality of food and the choice. With the dreaded credit crunch at the moment , I was quite impressed that I had to only hand pay just under £50 , main of for the four of us. And thats for starters main, desserts and a round of soft drinks. The decor and ambiance is welcoming and comfortable for such a big restaurant .

I will surely be going back to Jimmies. Keep up the good work !

Hello everyone!! Thought id leave a review for Jimmies...

Went and dined at Jimmy Spices in Sutton on 2nd December this year and i was very impressed.

I usually go to the JS on Broad Street but fancied a change and thought id give this branch a go. It was everything you would expect from Jimmies but with the added bonus of the 4 kitchens.

What i especially liked was the information given to me when i was seated. They did a good job of explaining that all the kitchens are live kitchens and that i could approach the chefs and ask fro certain dishes to be made to my specific liking. Im sure that sometimes this is forgotten by the staff and its good to hear they are making an effort to tell diners as this is one of the best parts of the whole JS concept.

Food was good, as always. Loads of choice and good to see that the Long Island Iced Tea was made properly! Most places put waaay to much coke and wreck it.

Will defiantly be going back! In fact i have booked my xmas works do there later this month.

Beware, the prices do go up to £20 a head instead of £15 in December but i think this is fair as most restaurants do this and provide exactly the same food/drinks/service as November. At least they have added more choice and some dearer xmas dishes. All in all not bad value for money even at £20 a pop.

I have put 8 for food as it was excellent but not good enough to be 9/10. But this is because its a restaurant review and not a 'buffet restaurant' review and i have had better food in some a la carte restaurants. But for a buffet restaurant its better than most!

I have given 9 to service and atmosphere as i think this was good and 10 to value for money as i think you would have to be mad to complain about the prices with such a HUGE variety of food available.

Thanks Jimmy!!

I went to Jimmy Spice's on 9th July 2008, with my fiancee to celebrate my birthday .

The food was good and there was a lot of variety. the staff was very helpful and courteous and we really enjoyed our food and atmosphere. It is such a decent place, I would love to go there again. Anyhowz the only thing which lacks was the dessert section I think they can add more variety to it.

I went to Jimmy spice's on Monday 21st July 2008, It was great. Lots of variety, friendly staff, informative chefs, recommendations on things to try. I loved it. Great price for what you get. A small chain where people can work up through the company according to one of the staff. Staff seemed happy too. Go enjoy.

We went To Jimmy Spice after a recommendation from a friend who is a chef at a Birmingham restaurant, he said it would be just right and fun for a family. There was a lot of variety on offer and the staff were very helpful, my wife is coeliac and was treated extremely well, she told the waiter of her diet and we were then taken on a tour of the buffet and introduced to the head chef, we were to ask him if we needed any advice, a brilliant evening and enough choice for everyone, we were never rushed at all. Accept that there may be hustle and bustle and always ask if you need anything, if you find a waiter unhelpful then speak to the manager he will do all he can

Me and my best friend decided to visit Jimmy's Spices in Birmingham yesterday

(Thursday 01 May). After reading some of the negative reviews we were reluctant to go however, I am so glad we did. The food was wonderfull, they had a wide variety of different dishes and unlike other buffet restaurants the staff were extremely friendly and didn't make me and my friend feel uncomfortable, when we got up at least six times each to get refills of the tasty food on offer.

The buffet was constantly updated, so you never missed a chance to taste the food. The noodles in the Thai section tasted amazing, the ingredients were fresh and they allowed you to choose your own toppings, cooking it in minutes right in front of you!

I would absolutley without a doubt, recommend this restaurant. The atmosphere was warm, and lively. The staff friendly and the service was excellent. The only thing I regret was not being able to tip the waiter.
