Recommended by a friend, but dissapointed and wont go again.

Starters were very good , but main courses that we had were bland.

I had some meat that was un cuttable and the waitress agreed, I asked for an explanation from the chef.

I had to ask the waitress what the answer was !!, and it was that the chef did not understand why it was like it was !!!!!!!!

No offer of a free cup of coffee or a rebate for the problem !!.

We always use this restaurant and it never let us down with food ,service and helpfull and eversmiling staff.

I started phoning them before going there especially at weekends nowdays.

I took my girlfriend Emily there for Christmas eve and it was really nice. They even stocked up on Verve Cliquot Champagne which is a rarity these days!

I ve had stuffed chicken with foie gras it was just superb..

tucked nicely on st.pauls sq. its an elegant dark horse ,try the food i ll certinly go back value for money and very polite , caring staff.

Picalilli is a great restaurant, an excellent fish selection and the best fillet stake i've eaten in birmingham. I have visited many times and my favourite dishes are the mussles, the fillet steak and a wonderfull veal and aubergine dish. If its on the desert menue try the lemon cheese cake- delicious. The staff are polite and very helpfull, i lost an item of jewellery there and they very kindly posted it back to me the next day.
