The Old Joint Stock is a city centre pub that has pretentions of being an exclusive country club. Walking in for the first time, I almost expected to be turned away because I wasn't wearing a suit.
It's an elegant, decorative place. Comfy seating makes it a lovely venue to unwind in after the day's work. But prices are high, at least half the cost again on top of the bill you'd expect in other nearby pubs.
Great place to meet friends at the start of the evening, but for a meal or an evening's bender - I wouldn't bother.
