Santa Fe Restaurant

We have eaten at the one on Ashville Rd several times. When they first opened everything was great. The last 2 or 3 times have not been good. Our food was cold time before last and when we visited last night, it was as if we were bothering them by being there. The girl didn't want to take our order. We sat for at least 15 minutes before we got a meun, then another 15 before we could orders. She was intrupted by another co-worker and left our table while ordering came back and left again then had someone else take the order. Salads never came. We had to remind them after the main course was brought out. They waiters were not familar with the menu or specials. We will not return.

Went here for valentine with my girlfriend and loved it. Tables were spread out nicely so it wasn't too cramped. The food was excellent in taste and presentation. The price for the food was good value too as were the drinks. The place is very nicely decorated and in a very nice location. I liked the way you could see into the kitchen and watch the chefs cookign your dinner (atleast then you can see if they spit in your salad!) Would defintely go there agian.

Food is average in taste and you don't get much for your money. Customer service is somewhat to be desired. Can't cope with large parties. Wouldn't recommend

MYSELF AND 30 WORK COLLEAGUES HAD OUR XMAS 2006 PARTY HERE W/C 18.12.06 AND WHILST THE FOOD WAS TASTY (WHEN IT FINALLY ARRIVED) AND NOT FORGETTING THE FROZEN MASH POTATO UNDER A HOT LEG OF LAMB, THE SERVICE WAS SHOCKING.IN MY OPINION THEY ARE NOT GEARED TO TAKING LARGE PARTY BOOKINGS. AFTER FINALLY GETTING THE STARTER 40 MINS AFTER BEING SEATED AT OUR TABLE, IT TOOK A FURTHER 1 HR AND 20 MINS TO GET OUR MAIN COURSE! YOU SIMPLY HAD TO BE THERE TO BELIEVE IT, WILD HORSES WOULD NOT GET ME BACK THERE AND ALTHOUGH WE COMPLAINED AT THE TIME THEY STILL ADDED A SERVICE CHARGE OF OVER £120 ONTO THE FINAL BILL. IF THIS IS THE STANDARD WE ARE TO EXPECT THEN THE MAIL BOX ITSELF WILL START TO GET A BAD REPUTATION LET ALONE THE RESTAURANT. I WAS TOTALLY APPALUED AND THE LADY WHO ARRANGED OUR XMAS PARTY WHO WORKS WITH ME WAS SO EMBARRASSED WITH IT ALL, I REALLY FELT FOR HER.

I WOULD SAY THIS REVIEW SPEAKS FOR ITSELF BUT IF YOU ARE GOING FOR AN XMAS PARTY HERE - TAKE A PACKED LUNCH!

Brilliant! This restaurants got character and style. Although the food was excellent what really made my evening was the atmosphere and service. ended up spending more time in the bar enjoying fantastic cocktails (so many to choose from) served by a barman who really knew his stuff! you've got to go.
