Went to Shimla Pinks on Broad Street last Wednesday. have to say the new place looks very impressive. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food was good, definitely worth visiting again.

the great shimla pinks, what has happend to this restaurant, the new place is disappointing, we were welcomed by a hostess, to take a seat, waited 10minutes for a table even tho they wernt even busy, took us to 1 table then to another couldnt even make her mind up even from looking from a clip board, asked for help on the menu, the waiter had to tell another waiter which he was helpful and understandle and spoke well from the first waiter, starters arrived as they came out from the microwave, main course was not even a main course that only contained 3/4 pieces of chicken which was charged £10, i could just go on forever, i place that needs GORDON RAMSAYs help

Awful. Absolutely shocking service. I've never encountered staff so rude and snobbish anywhere else. I can't comment on the food as we were so put off by the attitude of the staff we left. We eat out a lot and spend a lot of money when we do - I would never go back to this restaurant as there are far better places to eat where staff care about customer service.

We visited the new restaurant and have to say were absolutely disgusted about the level of service, quality of food and overall ambiance of the restuant.

Starters were fairly average - my girlfriend had a Samosa that that tasted as if it had been frozen and then warmed up in the microwave.

Mains again were fairly avaerage - one of our friends had a minced lamb dish that was burnt at the bottom.

We then asked for espresso's got normal filtered coffee!

Service was non existant - no pouring of drinks, asking if our food was okay, etc....

Then the bill - £160 for 4 people which included 10% service charge. I asked for this to be removed which they did but never asked for a reason or apologised!

Overall impressions is vastly overpirced resturant, poor quality of food and really bad service. Stick to your local Indian!

Third time we have visited this restaurant and the same high standards remain .For a night of great food, service and ambience Shimla Pinks is the place to go.
