I first visited the Taj Mahal Restaurant in 1967. I had my first Indian curry there. I visited again last night and the meal was superb. I sure will be coming back here whenever I'm back in Birmingham.

Well I've just eaten at The Taj Mahal and I must say the food was not good! I ordered a lamb bhuna with boiled rice and a garlic naan and the whole meal arrived within 5 minutes! I did hear the microwave ping so that may explain it. The curry was very bland tasting with the meat not cooked fresh at all. The rice was just warm and the garlic naan was a plain small naan with Asda Lazy Garlic smeared over it. I arrived at the Taj around 22.30 a little late I know and the place was empty! A very poor meal indeed which was a shame because the seating area of the restaurant is very welcoming
