We have eaten at this restaurant several times and although portions are small, the food is nicely presented and quite enjoyable.
What I would complain about is the service...BY THE MANAGER! of all people.
I have booked a theatre/meal deal for my husbands birthday for this coming Saturday. I rang in advance to make sure that we do not have a table by the window, as last time we eat in the restaurant we were put there and it was extremely cold...sat with our coats on all through the meal. I was polite in my request, but simply received a 'We'll try and not put you by the window'. So I rang again asking to speak to the manager to make sure my request was carried out. I received a less than polite/professional response. He said, 'I DON'T KNOW WHY YOU'VE RANG AGAIN, I KNOW, I'VE GOT IT HERE, YOU DON'T WANT A TABLE BY THE WINDOW. I explained I just wanted reassurance and there was no reason to be so rude and unpleasant (his tone and attitude was far from professional). He then went on to say, 'Well you can cancel and have a refund if you want'. I explained it would be difficult to book somewhere else at such short notice, but I would like to complain about his poor customer service. He said I'll give you my managers email address (I've tried it and it doesn't exist). He then told me there isn't much point in complaining because his manger thinks he's wonderful. WHERE DO I GO FROM HERE? I can't imagine how we are going to be treated when we eat at the restaurant on Saturday...lets hope the manger has learnt some manners by then.
