The George in the Tree

8 jan 2012-booked table for 8pm.on arrival i still had to wait in queue -whats the point of booking if i have to queue?? seated at 8.10,which is reasonable.waited approx.20 mins for waitress to acknowledge we were even there! she had taken the order from the next table previously.meal took approx.50 mins to arrive with waitress apologising profusely as she said the show at the nec was causing delays.on looking around, the restaurant was not even full! how do they cope on a busy evening? food was o-k,but i think for the money paid i require better service.the waitress was very attentive as she obviously had more time as the restaurant emptied out. we left at 9-30 and the restaurant was virtually empty. i will not go again as i can pay similar prices and get much better service!!!! buck your ideas up as your customers vote with their feet.
