I visited this Restaurant on Sunday 10th February with my daughter. I choose a dish from the specials board only to be told it was not available. I then decided to order Breast of Chicken filled with Mozzarella wrapped in bacon served with tomato and basil sauce sauteed potatoes and seasonal vegetables for myself and Fillet Steak for my daughter which I specified must be well done. After a considerable wait the food arrived. My daughters steak was rare. It took some time to find a member of staff to ask for it to be taken back. No appalogy was offered.

My meal consisted of pieces of chicken and bits of bacon no sign of mozzarella cheese and the potatoes were boiled.

My daughter's steak finally arrived after I had finished my meal. This time it was well done. It was accompanied by two soggy onion rings an overcooked mushroom, half a warm tomato and some unappetizing chips.

The service was appalling. We had to clear our own table as did the people sitting at the next table.

Complaints to a member of staff were met with a shrug of the shoulders.

Avoid this restaurant at all costs.

We sat in the beer garden, which is very pleasant. Service at the bar was very slow, although the beer was well kept. We waited on our food order for over an hour, before being informed they had no order for us, even though we had paid. They then cooked the food in 15 minute and dashed it out. The quality was generally OK, but pub food at retaurant prices. A very poor experience.

Used to be fantastic, standards have slipped. If you want authentic fresh ingredients, cook it yourself. The last meal I had consisted of vegetables that had been microwavedand overcooked and tasted horrid, instant mash potatoes and a fish pie where I found about three pieces of fish. What has happened to what used to be a pub of restuarant quality?
