Nooraani Balti House

I got to tell you this is a nice little place. Very first thing I do in a restaurant is to check the toilet area, if it is clean and well maintained than it is assuring that the food will be reasonably good. I didn't had complain about convenience area it was nice and clean so I was pleased. Restaurant has gleaming clean open kitchen where food is being prepared in front of your very own eyes. It is much better this way than a closed kitchen where you don't know whats going on in there (you know what I mean ???). The food is great too, one of the best BALTI I have ever eaten and the nan bread, what can I say about the freshly baked nan bread? it was fantastic. My mate had a Peshwari nan bread with his chicken korma, he loved it so much, he is always on about it how good it was. The restaurant is not licensed but you can bring your own beer (off license is right next door). All in all I can recommend this little gem to any body. Just go and try it for yourself. Me and my mates have been back several times and it is almost our local now.
Cheers.

well...ok, what can i say? When i tried the food first time as a take-away, i really enjoyed it. So one night, me and my 2 pals decided to go for a meal to eat inside. We sat down at a table of four, and was given free popadoms with 4 dips, while we were deciding what to eat. I gotta tell you, the menu has a good selection of food. We were not rushed for our order to be taken, and the waiter seemed a nice young chap! When our order was taken, we can see our food being cooked, a brilliant open kitchen. It is very clean to see a tidy kitchen, and also watching the staff cooking away with laughter as we do down the pub, hehe! I tell you, my Chicken Curry madras.......ooooohh, what a dish, really nice to eat. Chicken is very tender, and cooked properly. My mates loved it every minute of it. Both of them were wimps, because they had eaten a Chicken Korma, which i tasted as was too mild for me, but it did taste really nice, not too sweet but creamy (great for curry virgins, haha!). We all had basmati rice, ooh lovely, multi-coloured (not jelly babies), and not over cooked as my wife does...move on. The staff seemed very nice people, asking us guys for feedback with a smile. Overall, i believe this restaurant is a great little place, the music is different e.g radio and then bhangra, haha. If you want to enjoy your food, have a good conversation with one of the staff, this restaurant is a recommend. Oh yeah, they are not licensed but you can bring your own booze! We did ask for beer, but was recommended a can of GingerBeer, hahahha.
