We visited The Man on the Moon this afternoon for a family lunch with friends. Our two family's food was ordered seperately but delivered together. Nine of us sat down to eat, we were served promptly and all of the food came to the table hot. Excellent value for money and the steaks were cooked just exactly how they were ordered (all different). No specific children's menu but they did their best to accommodate out youngest child's needs. Pleasant atmosphere and we totally disagree with previous negative comments that we have seen. We would recommend The Man on the Moon for family dining and we will certainly be returning.

After hearing the Man On The Moon pub had been refurbished, me and my family decided to give it a try.

We sat down and ordered our meal. Soon enough our meals arrived and all of us were utterly disgusted by what was put in front of us.

The peas were tinned. The mash potato was instant. The steak was fatty and they had bought me a chicken wrap instead of the chicken baguette I had asked for.

However, that was not the worst of it. I opened up my chicken wrap to find two small pieces of cold, greasy chicken. After cutting it in half the chicken appeared transparent and therefore I believed it to be undercooked.

I complained to the waiter (who was also the bar tender) and he went off into the kitchen to consult with the 'chef'. Before too long he came back out and told me the chicken was definitely cooked because they BUY THE FOOD IN ALREADY COOKED. All they do is warm it up.

I was disgusted and appalled. The person running the kitchen was obviously not a chef. Having paid for the meal before we got served we had no leg to stand on when it came to refusing to pay.

If you are looking for a decent pub which serves a good meal and has atmosphere then the Man On The Moon must be avoided at all costs.

Heard the place is having a renovation and is opening soon.

Food is nice and value for money, worth a visit. Although sometimes you get a few nutcases in there, only tends to be on Friday and Saturday nights, or if theres a Birmingham City game on.

The moon is ok, you do tend to get a lot of thugs in there, who are always out to cause trouble. Apart from that if your a regular place is nice and good food.
