Robbys Tandoori

My family often eat at Robby's Tandoori and I've yet to find a restaurant with such excellent food and service. Food is consistently good, the menu has something for all tastes and I've always found the staff are more than accommodating even when rushed off their feet.

Overall great value for money and would definitely recommend to others.

Hi, I visited Robby's on Fri 23rd March, up until 5 years ago I was a very regular customer of Robby's as the service and food was second to none, but unfortunately I moved out of the area and have now recently moved back to Kingswinford so was keen to visit this restaurant again.

WE arrived at the restaurant at 8pm on Friday night and straight away we were offered a table and ordered our meals by 8.15pm, our starter of popadums came promptly but by 9.00pm we still had not had our main meal. We asked politely what had happened to our food and we were replied to most rudely and arrogantly with a reply of "This is a Saturday night we are always busy, what do you expect?"

Well for a start off he must have been on something because it was actually a Friday night and NOT saturday but to be spoken to in that way was appalling!

I asked him if he was Robbie and he replied yes, well I dont remember Robbie being so arrogant and I had heard rumours that it had been taken over.Maybe someone can confirm this pls?

Well at 9.30pm our food arrived, no apologies whatsoever for the wait (by this time I had gone past the hunger stage!) people who had arrived after us

were getting their food way before us! Some other more people were complaining but again they were being fobbed off!!

I did not each much of my food but my partner ate his and this is the only thing that saved ROBBYS REPUTATION as the food was definitely the best indian cuisine he had ever tried. But unfortunately for us the time we waited and the arrogant waiter or owner (calling himself Robbie) we will not be going back there ever again as service is just as important to me as the quality of the food!

We never had an apology or an offer of a free drink or even a deduction from the bill as a gesture of goodwill - we got nothing apart from rudeness!

Such a shame as it has always had such fantastic reputation - but I know on that night others complained too, it would have been a different matter if one of the staff members had informed us that our meal would take longer than normal and offered us a drink for the inconvenience doesnt take alot to offer good customer service!

Sorry Robby's wont be visiting you again and my sister who use to live in K'Ford and has now moved to London will not be bulk ordering from you again! Terrible service!!!!!!!!!
