Rhubarb Rhubarb

Absolutely fantastic. One of my favourite restaurants! A little pricey for breakfast, and maybe lunch, but dinner is certainly worth every penny.
I have had the best prawns, pork belly, and steak here. Always interesting and exciting 'special' on the board. Would definately recommend Rhubarb!

Pretty awful, overpriced cooking that I could do much, much better myself. (And I'm not great.) Plenty of fish dishes, inc the specials, for some reason, but little else. (Early Saturday evening, early December.) 3 of the 4 of us had steak. All left 50% - because 50% of it was fat. When 1 of us (me) complained when asked 'Is everything OK for you?', The reply from the chef was 'It's meant to be like that - it's from a fatty part of the animal.' A very mean, thin-sliced part of the animal, too. Worse than supermarket steak. To be honest, everyone else's dishes looked (don't know about the taste) great. French-style, dark decor, with typical round, glass shade chandeliers, deep red walls, lots of large old mirrors. Average service. Expensive beer. Very disappointed, as someone had taken us out as an Xmas treat, and this was embarrassing all round, they unfortunately agreed.
Choc torte (tiny portion, but it was pretty rich) and coffee fine. Clientele oldish, out to impress and for the good ambience rather than appreciate the food. All in my opinion !

Dreadful food, dreadful service. You would have to pay me quite a lot to eat here again.

Fantastic eclectic restaurant that combines great fresh produce in an inspired menu, with friendly staff and a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere - hard to find gems like this in the UK especially outside of London!! This place keeps me sane when missing great food combined with a chilled atmosphere, that are a plenty at home in Australia.
Cheers!
