Well I find this place a bit hit and miss. They struggle to cope with large parties and if a large party of people are in other diners have to wait far too long for food. Food itself is hit and miss, fairly average, serious foodies are probably better off elsewhere. Unfortunately most things on the menu are fairly greasy with little in the way of healthy options. That said, the staff do try to help if they can and are pretty friendly most of the time. That said, its a great place for a drink, one of the nicer bars in Lichfield.

We have been to Couch Potato lots of times and have never been disappointed. Special occasions include my wife's birthday, my sister in laws birthday and Valentines day...excellent on all occasions. We also pay lots of casual visits for a quick drink and a slice of cake with our 2 year old daughter. My daughter is never out of place and really enjoys ambience. The staff are very friendly, professional and efficient always being happy to help offering service with a smile. This cafe/restaurant/bar is our favourite place to eat in Lichfield...please ignore any negative feedback from other people, I asure you won't be disappointed!

PERFECT! Great choice on the menu, food is gorgeous, staff are more than helpful and the atmosphere on a Friday or Saturday night here is amazing. We were seated in the front section (best place for lively night) but there is also a quieter back area (great for romantic nights). My husband and I love this cafe/bar/restaurant and all our friends are big fans too.

I really enjoyed our meal at Couch Potato in Lichfield this week. The menu has a good selection of meals, from pasta dishes and salads to steaks and mussels. As well as the main menu, there was a special fresh fish menu too! Our party of 5 were glad to have finally found a place to eat in Lichfield that's close to the centre of town, but away from the noise of the main bars and pubs; it's close to the theatre too. All in all, a fantastic night with very friendly staff, and a great atmosphere.

Decor ok inside, surprised how empty the place was for Mothers day. The starters turned up on greasy plates, then the main courses turned up for eight of us. We had to send all the food back because the food was cold and so were the plates. After being given our food back, we sent it all back again still very cold. This started to test our patience. The food came back warm on warm plates this time and the meat was still cold on the inside. The veg turned up 15 minutes later. Overall the food was a disgrace not only cold but had a very poor taste. But at least the Manageress gave us a free round of drinks! Overall a special day for the family was ruined, the staff couldn't care less about what was served up. I wouldn't recommend anyone to go to the Couch Potato in Lichfield.

Good ambience, good food. Bit puzzled that a bottle of wine was more expensive than buying separate glasses, and although the place was not busy our party of 6 was placed right in the window as if on show. Waiters could have been a bit more attentive, but we had a very enjoyable evening
