Visited the Eastern Eye for the second time last night for my partners birthday. Unfortunatly just as disaapointed as the first time. As no stranger to Indian food, having indian freinds and attended their weddings and taste REAL indian foods I know what I'm ordering and what it should taste like.

The decor is nice, the atmosphere relaxed, the staff attentive but not overly so but the food is bland and tastless. I'm not talking about hotness here I'm talking 'taste'

Very very dissapointed yet again and will not be frequenting again until the Eastern Eye decides to cook food with a taste to it.

i recently visited the eastern eye, it has had a dramatic change since last time i went. Its atmosphere is very traditional keeping with modern times.

The food was very good, i go to indian restaurants once in a while, sometimes to get a takeaway, my takeaways are from eastern eye most of the time.

The Hindustani i ate last time was excellent, compared to the other restauarnts, i cant remember a nicer hindustani. My wife ate the bengal, she complemented it.

I was delighted with the service, the young man was very kind and hugely helpful. I recommend it to anyone looking for a good night out.

Recycled mint yoghurt, mine had lipstick stained popadum in it, chicken tikka smothered in a tasteles sauce and tough, for main I orderd a `traditional` Bengali dish which was more like a poor home made Thai red curry, garlic naan with dried garlic...Cobra was good though but generally very poor, 2 people a couple of beers £40..my advise..don`t bother
