I used to visit before the revamp at least twice a month. Since the revamp I have been 3 times and each time vowed not to go again, I gave one last try.
The menue was pathetic and overpriced. I ordered Gammon without egg and asked for pineapple instead, was told no pineapple, a small piece of gammon with a tablespoon of mashed potato and chives, half a tomato on a large plate.
I couldn't complain because I had a guest with me whom I hadn't seen for almost 20 years. There were 4 other people in the place at 1pm.
May give it one more try on a Saturday just to see how many people around and if the menu has changed.

Went here following recommendation from friends. Couldn't book a table as they were full but called in on spec anyway. Turned out they could seat us, and to be honest didn't look that busy anyway.
Decor is fantastic, but the pub lacks any real atmosphere.
Food is distinctly average and not of good quality.
Service was average, with Bar staff unable to make eye contact and thus run a bar order.
We shared a starter Meze, which was nice but not exactly taxing.
Two of us had steak, and too be frank they can't cook it for toffee. My Rare steak could have literally walked back off the plate, and the others medium was rare. Think they may have run out of the fries as well. Don't object to small portions, just don't present them in an huge empty bowl.
Avoid the ceasar salad unless you are an addict to salt.
Didn't bother with a pud.
Will not be going back for at least 6 months, so they can get their stall in order. No excuse for a pub not to be able to cook a decent steak.

Since the refurb it has a lovely atmosphere with lovely welcoming staff, service a bit slow to start with, but it was busy
The food was fantastic has gone very up market, wich does reflect in its prices.
They do have a childrens menu however they do not really cater for children as they have no high chairs and menu is a bit too grown up for them, just smaller potions of adult food.

Great relaxing place to eat, and no children running around hurrah. Good food, if a little pricey for a pub! Love the new look. Staff very attentive.

Since refurbishment this place has a nice atmosphere. The staff were freindly and the food was really good. The starters varied in size, but apart from that we really enjoyed the evening. It was a nice chance to try the continental beer too.
