The Clive at Ludlow was the venue for our Wedding Luncheon Celebration just a month ago and if we did it all over again, we wouldn't change any of it. The entire experience, including the planning stage, was a delight from the onset. The food was superb, wines very acceptable and the attention to detail was second to none. Friendly, yet professional, great setting and spacious accommodation too.

I recently took some business clients to the cafe bar at the clive for an informal evening dinner. The food quality was very good, and not too expensive, but the service in this restaurant was very poor. It took three reminders and 20 minutes to recieve the wine we had ordered, by this time the starters had been finished. The main coures arrived promptly, but we then recieved no further service. Our finished plates were left for 30 minutes plus before we were handed our bill, we were not offerred coffee or desert, and when tables chairs were being stacked on the tables around us , we got the message and left..it was only 9.30!
One to avoid, which is a shame, because the food quality is actually quite good.
