Ate at this restaurant tonight, came with high recommendations from a friend.

We found the service was poor, 5 minutes for a menu, ordered 2 main meals and a naan. No starters, however 2 poppadoms, onion salad and some odd looking pink sauce were put on our table. We asked for a pint of coke and a jug of water. Drinks took 10 mins to arrive, the food a further 30 minutes. We ordered chicken balti, and a chicken balti jalfrezi.

My jalfrezi (hot and spicy) arrived, completely covered in chopped spring onions and a green chilli cut in half and placed on top of the onions.

Chicken seemed pre-cooked, not marinated in sauce, and bits of it were burnt. The dish was incredibly salty!

The dustbin lid sized naan was pleasant, but generally the meal was disappointing.

We then waited a further 10 minutes for the bill, which was not forthcoming, however a waiter appeared pretty sharpish when we left our table. While waiting for the bill, the waiter made no conversation, nor did he ask if we enjoyed the meal. Perhaps he knew we hadn't.

Not a particularly enjoyable meal or experience, and we won't be repeating it.

we have been coming here virtually every week for 3 years,i swear both of us have never had a bad meal, tried most of resturants in balti triangle and in lye and although the one down the road is second to none for presentation and service, the meal isnt a patch on the one here.

I've been using this restaurant for the last twelve years, and would recommend it to anybody. The food is always excellent, staff are great. The only let down is the area and the decoration, it now needs a refirb. This restaurant is great if you just want a quick cheap, but not low quality indian meal, were you don't have to dress up. This restaurants food is better that some that are twice the price.

i would recommend it to anyone wanting great food and service

Superb, it's the one we always go to. Tasty, amazing value for money and I always leave full up despite only having spent under a tenner including starter and tips. Unlicenced so bring your own beers.
