The Cross is an amazing place and i would recommend that all peeps go there for their tea and fat cakes, i just love the way they give you lashings and lashings of custard with your sponge pudding.......and best of all is the fit owner, the one who wears that green hoodie, would love to know his name but i'm too shy...

It is great to be in a bar that is not trying to be "something"!!!!!! It is what it is - a relaxed cool bar ......................and I have to say with one FIT owner - didn't talk to him but the viewing was great!! Had a great night and went back the following day for food which was well worth it.

Consistently high quality food, Recommended definitely. Better food than the loft lounge. Steaks at The Cross are the BEST ever. If you stick to the classics you won't go wrong. House white is very good too. The best daytime food in Moseley by a long long way

I dunno about bland. It was voted in the top 5 pubs to eat at in the Midlands a couple of weeks ago. (birmingham Evening Mail). I think their burgers are amazing. I also like the pizza, which is possibly the 2nd best pizza I ever had ( best was in Napoli). Recommended, definitely. 9/10

In Brum from London over the Christmas period - loved the Cross in Moseley, great atmosphere and absolutely fantastic food. Nice to see a cool venue that isn't contrived or just another chain!
Ate there a few times over Christmas and spent New Years eve there -the best £10, I've ever spent. Fab music and great vibe.

Excellent bar with a wide choice of drinks, fantastic atmosphere especially on a Friday night when The Funk junkies are playing their Retro House style tunes! Recommend it

Wednesday evenings is now transformed into side splitting entertainment upstairs at the Cross (call to confirm bookings). My girlfriend and I visited the Cross for the first time and loved the cosy laid back leather sofas that you could lieback into, put your feet up and enjoy a nice hot drink and probably have a nice nap. The staff were very friendly on the night and kept themselves very busy ensuring all the tables were kept clean and tidy, very homely! The comedy was upstairs and believe me you need to wear a thick woolly jumper, thermals or a good coat as it was seriously cold up there, though the welcome was rather warming. It was £5.00 to get into this comedy show and worth every penny believe me I have visited Jongleurs and The Glee club many times and found the acts at the Cross to be miles funnier. A compare called Andy, he looked like a ginger rat on hunger strike and admitted to it, DO NOT heckle this man as he can give as good as he gets. 3 Acts from Manchester (the guns gave it away) and all very very funny indeed, I sat at the front (freezing) and yes you know what happens when you sit at the front, you get the p**s taken out of you; Well No, to my surprise the comedy acts were that funny they did not have to revert to personal impleasantries. However one act did suggest I was a rather big built fella and asked what I did as a job, now this could have opened up many a doors to cause for a laugh "debt collector, bouncer, boxer (eggs), NO, No, NO so I told him the truth "I'm a showbiz corresspondant for a Birmingham newspaper"! Yes! he fell backwards and was silent for about 30 seconds and said "really, is that the truth" and actually admitted that he had nothing to reply with!!! 1-0 to the crowd I think....Anyway Wednesday at The Cross for the Comedy night is a fierce contender for the likes of the big boys, WATCH OUT Jongleurs and The Glee club this could be an out of time WINNER. Make this one a must cos it's the best fiver I have spent and could not stop laughing....Top night..Well done to the Cross
