Have just arrived home after 'dining' here. I arrived at 11.30, and it is now 1.50. The restaurant was not full, but the service was still appallingly slow, and just generally appalling. After 15 minutes we were asked what we would like to drink. We asked what was served and instead of answering our waiter went off to seat some new arrivals. A request for a jug of water with 2 glasses resulted in a glass of water, and repeated requests for another were ignored.
Not being a great curry aficiando, i opted for a chicken tikka massalla (my all time favourite!) and was presented with a dish that neither looked nor tasted as such. It was sent back and I was told it would be remade. However 2 minutes later it was back, warmer and with more sauce. It tasted awful and I decided to leave it. My 3 friends were happy to eat their various dishes but were not overly impressed, the Lamb Rogan Josh just "tasted like it's striaght out of a can", the Lamb Tikka Biryani considered "one of the worst curries I've had in the last ten years....like eating leather", the Katwi tasted of "jif lemon like you put on pancakes". The nan breads were cold too! In fact the best bit was probably the onion bhaji starter. So £60 for 4 bahji's was considered on the whole to be more than a little extortionate.
