This was my 3rd visit 2 the restaurant and it gets better each time, I wud highly recommend u try this place out. Food is great, starters r succulent and refreshin, the servings r pretty large so make sure u r hungry lol. And the chocolate fudge cake is 2 die 4! The atmosphere can get rowdy but fortunately not 4 2 long. Service is excellent, there can b a bit of a wait 4 a table even if u hav pre-booked, but in all honesty, its worth the wait. And the best part of the whole ponte experience r the waiters, very funny gentlemen who can add some fun 2 ur night. Overall, our table of 5 diners left this restaurant with big smiles on our faces and with stuffed bellys! 3 of our table were ponte virgins who said they will definitely b eatin here more often.

Me and my partner go to this restuarant all the time, we find the service provided it excellent and the staff are friendly and efficient, the longest we have waited for out table is 5minutes!

The food is delisious, i try and eat different things but not a fish lover, the steak it to die for, perfectly cooked and i am a fussy eater when it comes to meat! And value for money is excellent! A cheap night!

Overall a great night for couples, maybe not for those expecting a quiet meal but a nice friendly environment.

I would not recommend this restaurant at all, we went for a special occasion, and the experienced we had at the restaurant totally ruined the special occasion.

Throughout the meal the service was terrible, very slow, and it wasn’t particularly busy, so don’t know what is would be like on a busy night!!

My partner poured the wine, minutes later it nearly went all over the floor, through no fault of our own, as we had such a wobbly table, to a great extent too!! This should have been checked before allowing customers to come into the restaurant.

After waiting a while to be served after I called a waiter over to tell them we were ready to be served. We finally ordered. From time of ordering to actually getting our meal was around an hour later, we were absolutely starving.

When the meals came we were extremely disappointed with what we seen and tasted. First of all I have eaten a many Italian Restaurants, and have never ever experienced an Italian Meal to be full of Coriander (the herb which is mainly used in Mexican and Indian Cooking). My meal was full of it and I absolutely hate it, it is way too over powering. No mention on the menu that it would be smothered in coriander, if I had of known, or the waiter would have said, I would have asked for it without. I did call over the waiter and told him I hated coriander and he wasn’t willing to do anything about it or my meal, at that point I eat it, it was either me eating, after waiting over an hour, or passing out!! It was the worst meal I have had, The fish was over cooked and the meal was quite tasteless, all I could taste it the horrible coriander.

My partner didn’t think much to his meal either, and was still hungry after eating it.

Throughout the meal the service was terrible, very slow, and it wasn’t particularly busy, so don’t know what is would be like on a busy night!!

Also the desserts were hardly worth having, when we left the restaurant we were still hungry and after forking out a lot of money for a nice meal we don’t expect to still be hungry when we leave!! Not value for money at all!!

Lastly the restaurant was cold, there was no heating on. The toilets were so cold it was like walking into a freezer. There was no soap or hot water to wash hands with.

You should really not experience all these faults when you are paying good money (you are not the cheapest restaurant around, by far!!) to eat in a nice restaurant. I will not be recommending it, after the terrible experience we had!!

I have written a letter to this resturant for their feed back on the terrible experience we had, and it was not responded too!!

Absolutely average. we found out that the chicken was halal, which I think they should at least advertise on the menu. I ended up having to have the fiorentina pizza . 5/10 pizza. express is better and cheaper. The restaurant is arranged too tightly with hardly any room to spare. I dont think they are proper Italians that run the place. I will not be back in a hurry

After reading, several of the reviews on this site we were understandably cautious about going here, but two weeks ago curiousity got the better of us and we a booked a table.

We heard it was best to book the later sitting as the earlier sitting can sometimes be a very rushed affair, which we witnessed when we arrived for the later sitting as a large table was asked to settle the bill and leave as there was about 5 other groups of people waitng to be setaed.

However after a wait of 10 minutes we were promptly seated and provided with menus. We ordered mussels, bruschetta and asparagus wrapped in salmon for starters, which were all very tasty, the mussels were huge and they were beautifully cooked!!!

For our mains we had seafood pasta and sirloin steak and an assortment of sides, the seafood was cooked to perfection and extremely tasty, however the steak was was tasty, if not a litlle chewy (regretted not having the fillet!)

Overall the service was good, the staff were neither rude nor over friendly, they were quick and efficient.

The atmosphere was really good, but be warned they seem to have a lot of large groups dining there, so sometimes it can be a bit noisy, but we personally enjoyed eating in a lively environment.

We really enjoyed our meal here and will definitely be returning soon. The food was quite expensive, however the bring your own policy helped keep the cost down.

Yet again we have been sucked in because Ponte di Legno is the only italian restaurant in Moseley.

Six of us went last night for a family meal. The food was good, but again the service was dreadful. Our table was immediately next to the door with my husband's chair actually blocking a third of the doorway. Every time customers came in, his chair was knocked and a draft of cold air blew in. We mentioned this to the maitre d' who was less than sympathetic, and who took 20 minutes and a second request to move us. We were then squashed into a corner on a table suitable for 4 people. Had it not been a birthday celebration with family travelling over we would have left at that point.

The BYO policy is good but no wine coolers were provided and we had to ask for enough wine glasses.

This is the final time we will visit or recommend the restaurant. Good food no way makes up for discourteous and contemptuous service.

Went there on Sat night after hearing rave reviews from various friends for a while. After finally managing to get a reservation (too busy every other time I called up) headed down and wasnt disappointed. Good quality food, servings and atmosphere. Very lively place. Will definately head back at some point...

We went there for our wedding anniversary on 29 August and were really disappointed. It was probably the noisiest and most crowded restaurant I have ever been to - we had a small table but could not hear ourselves talk, so if you like eating as if you are in a pub saloon when England are playing on the big screen, then it is for you. If not, avoid at all cost!
