Our experience at La Caverna should have been lovely but was ruined by the bill! Extremely expensive for quality (couldn't find the fish in the fish soup) and the quantity (steak was delicious but small and had to pay an extra high amount for small quantities of side vegetables).
Won't be recommending due to price.

Having ventured out on a Saturday night to brave the hustle and bustle of a busy restaurant I was very pleased with our experience at la Caverna. The decor was modern and there were plenty of staff and it was impeccably clean. The restaurant is Italian but also had the odd suprise on the menu such as snails and frogs legs. I had a delightful starter Spaghetti Con Polpo Di Granchio
With fresh crab meat, cream, garlic, basil, tomato and brandy (£6.75) followed by Pollo Gamberetti - Strips of chicken, cooked with wild mushrooms pemo and prawns in a creamy sauce with chilli Pollo Peperonata (£12.95)with 2 white spritzers (£5.00 each). My husband had Mushrooms Suffed with Crab (£6.00) followed by Beef Bonguinon
Strips of beef, pan fried with onions, smoked bacon and mushrooms in red wine sauce (£12.95) with a pint of Carling at £3.00.
Whilst ordering I noted a mandatory gratuaty charge of 10%, I have no problem paying this but perhaps if I hadnt seen this I might have been a little peeved. All in all the bill came to £61 - not the cheapest night I have had out but certainly one of the nicest. The presentation was excellent, the service was great and there was a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended for a good occasion night out.
