After my experience at The Boat last night, I would strongly advise against eating there. I took a relative who having not visited Solihull for a long time, remembered visiting The Boat as a child. Our initial nostalgia and optimism was soon dampened by a description of the menu ommisions and our lengthy wait for the food that was available.
When the food arrived all the vegetables were cold and any that were roasted had the consistency of concrete. In addition, when bringing our drinks, the waitress spilt the tray of drinks onto our table and one of the meals, then proceeded to giggle with other staff members failing to notice the meal she had just ruined.
I really cannot stress how poor a dining experience this was.
