we have just been out to celebrate our daughters exam results. All 6 of us had to wait for an hour and half for our main meal. the food when we chased it up arrived cold , our waitress said the order was on its way. We ordered a pitcher of iced water that never arrived. our waitress was very abrupt and not very smiley !! we are used to excellent service from the staff at your restaurants which visit frequently until today .
My daughter was also made to feel unhappy on this her special evening because when she orderd coke the waitress assumed she requested diet coke. If this was to be her choice she would have asked for diet.
After speaking to the resturant manger as we were leaving he said the poor service was due to it being the end of the month, a bank holiday weekend and a friday night. My husband said if this was the case why not employ more staff . to which he said fair enough.

My fiance and I have been regulars at this restuarant for many years and on the whole have enjoyed it. However, we visited the restuarant on the 30th April 2010 at approx 5pm. The restaurant was quiet, with just a few people in. We waited a while to be seated and waited for at least 20 mins for our food. We both opted for the bacon burger and fries, which costs nearly ten pounds per person. We were disappointed with our meals. For such a price we expected all the trimmings. However, if you wanted colslaw or onions rings etc you had to pay extra. We left the restaurant hungry, and when you have paid that much money you should not leave hungry. The staff were ok. The decor is great and the music fantastic. Just really over priced for what you get. If the prices come down, we will be back, if ,not, we will be going to Macdonalds!!!

If you are a lover of food do not go here, if you like good service do not step foot in the door.
The food is awful and the service is not much better. If on Valentines night you wish to split from your love this is the place to go as they will never speak to you again
Rubbish food that is very overpriced

If you like 1950's american music /style and are not too fussy about the food quality, this is a place to experience.
Best not to go if you are in a rush though as the service is very slow. From entering the restaurant to food being served took around an hour and a half for us, even though the restaurant only seemed moderately busy. Almost three hours for two courses!
Their practice of leaving food under the hot lights while other parts of the order are being cooked makes some of the meals a little dry and luke warm by the time they arrive at the table.
Kids meals are good value and there is plenty in the goodie bag to keep them occupied, which helps considering the length of time waiting for the food. The adult meals are overpriced for what you get.

If you expect to walk in off the street and get a table straightaway, think again.
We went recently just after 7pm. Told there would be a 10-15 minute wait,
although plenty of empty tables.
You know the old adage, a dissatisfied customer is a bad advert.
Also had same problem at Chiquito's, Rubery and surprise, surprise they have the same Head Office address as Frankie & Benny's!!
Obviously, have same person teaching them Customer Service.

Ive eaten at Frankie and Bennys a few times and the foods good, even though a little pricey. Tonight I have tried to book a party their - after 120 minutes of trying I got through to the busy restaurant, when I said I wanted a table for 8, I was told this was not enough to book for - you needed at least 10 to reserve a table.

I took a recently acquainted Lady Friend to Frankie & Benny's this evening on her suggestion. Parking was excellent, especially on such a wet night. The waitress greeted us in a welcoming manner and we were quickly seated. Our table had a very {{{{{loud}}}}} speaker blaring out songs unsuitable for an evening where gently and enquiring conversation was going to be the main activity.
Our order arrived quickly, but mine was wrong, so the waitress took them both back and returned later with the correct order. My friends food was warm as it had obviously been held while my correct order was made. My meal was excellent but sadly also warm. The Desserts were good and all-in-all the food was reasonable if warm. We then ordered tea and coffee but were informed that they did not sell tea. This was totally unacceptable. The bill was incorrect as I had been charged the price of the wrong order that they had brought to me. The price for this was more than the price for my correct order.
To sum up: Warm main courses at a reasonable price. Desserts good. Staff attitude pleasant and friendly. Seats were uncomfortable with the music blaring out to make any meaningful conversation impossible. Wrong order being brought to the table was slipshod and then to charge the customer incorectly was inexcusable. I will not be going back. Having to cross the road to the Bowling Alley in order to get a cup of tea was a fair sign that Frankie & Benny's lacked the ‘Mine Host’ spirit.
