The best italian around, and it really does show by the amount of people that keep on returning despite not living locally. The food is authentic, fresh and cooked from scratch. They mainly specialise in pastas and steaks that are always delicious and filling, no tiny portions here! The price is reasonable considering the quality of the food.
The owner Umberto and the rest of his family are lovely and are always very accommodating as long as you are polite. The best nights are when they have their entertainment, the place is always packed then. Other than that its generally quiet which is perfect for a relaxing meal.

I went to this restaurant on 5th October 2007 with 8 friends for a birthday celebration. I ordered a salata tricolore for a starter which includes mozarella, tomato and avocado. I was presented with mozarella, tomato and a few lettuce leaves. No apologies were made or explanation given for the lack of avocado. The menu does not state that it will be provided if available. I refused to eat it and then someone came to tell me that the avocado pears were hard. Eventually I was asked if I would like an alternative starter which I then ordered.
The main course- pasta with bacon was tasty enough but on my second last mouth full I bit into a staple in my food. The management laughed and tried to make this into a joke. Someone then made a vague apology.
No discounts were offered for this poor service. We had to ask for the bill 4 times and then they pretended to have lost my friend's coat when we wanted to leave after paying the bill. We will not be visiting or recommending this restaurant.

One of our regual haunts. Service can be a little slow but we like that as it gives you time to enjoy a wonderful dining experience. Cosy, bustling feel to the place is backed up by Umberto (the owner) and his lively Roman attitude. The Food is excellent, home cooked fare. The restaurant is unlicenced so it is BYOB so we tend to take a chilled bottle of Brut or Dry white to drink whilst waiting to be served and eating our starters a nice italian red to eat with the excellent pasta and meat dishes. Perfect!!!

Wonderful freshly cooked Italian food. No frozen or conveniece foods. You may have to wait a little bit longer for food, but each dish is cooked from scratch. Very friendly owner - he opened restaurant up especially at lunchtime for just the two of us - what more can you ask for. Interior basic and cheerful warm atmosphere. There is no car park which can be a bit of a problem. Will definetely be back for more.

This is the best Italian food I have eaten outside of Italy.
Dont be put off by the location, this really is a superb restaurant.
Fillet montenaro is just wonderful and both the King Prawn and Stuffed mushroom starters are to die for.
Great Family feel.
