We complained about a meal which was awful and service poor, we were compensated with vouchers, the second meal was as bad having to be replaced then they decided to deduct the price of the steak off the meal as was so bad. Then when I gave them them the letter showing a replacement meal voucher all they could do was smile and apologise, once can be explained but twice ??

The boss is totally in denial about this restaurant.

Seven family members attended this place for Sunday lunch early October 2012. Initial impressions were good until we were shown to our table. From here on in, everything went downhill at a rapid rate. Dreadful service, dreadful food, so much so we did not eat any of it and neither did we pay for it. We left the place starving hungry. Despite the manager saying he would contact the area manager and express our concerns and the possibilty of vouchers to compensate, we have heard anything to date. Would never go here or again.

Ate in the restaurant Thursday 30th Aug 2012, meal was fine but the customer service from a snotty waitress was disgusting. Tutted at everything when we asked, including forgetting a drink and when asked again, snapped at us saying we needed to order altogether. After realising her rudeness, tried to creep back in our good books, giving children balloons and being as nice as pie. I would hate to see her when the restaurant was busy as only us and another two tables in the whole place. When reported to the manager, he was clearly a push over. Needless to say we shall not be eating there again.

My family and I ate in this restaurant last week, twice. Angela, our waitress couldn't have been nicer, food EXCELLENT, lots of atmosphere, very busy, wonderful food and service what more could you ask for?

I visited the Plough (beefeater) in july of this year and found it to be an exquisite dining experience! The young lady who served myself and my family (Laura was her name) was very attentive, friendly amd chatty. My teenage nephew was undecided on which steak to have and, after asking him a couple of questions about his preferences, she was very helpful at reccomending one for him. Our food was cooked to perfection, and although the restaurant seemed busy, we were not kept waiting for either our food or our waitress at any point of the evening.

Overall it was an extreamely enjoyable exerience, and one which we will most definitely be repeating for the next family get together.

Haven't been to the plough for years, so thought we would try it again. We arrived on a Friday at Lunch Time, were seated straight away, by a very polite young lady, who was also up for a laugh.

The orders and the food were taken and served very quickly.

We enjoyed our time there so much we have booked a table for Easter Sunday. Because of the great service and value for money, and as it had a decent Vegetarian menu.

When we got home, I trawled the reviews of the Plough, and found many negative reviews, which really surprised me, and prompted me to write this review. I will send another after our meal on Sunday, we at least hope it will be another good review.
