Akash Tandoori

My family and I have been using this restaurant for many years (Mum and Dad have been going for over 20 years) and not once have we had a bad meal. Always fresh and tasty. Decor is good and staff are friendly, highly recommend it.

The staff at the akash are sooo friendly, there is a quiet, chilled atmosphere and the food is divine! My partner loves really hot food I like medium heat and then we have a son who is really picky, The akash will cater for anyone, they always do with us. Its not expensive and you get a treat of hot lemon towels and mints after your meal... Not like any other resturant in birmingham, its stylish, friendly and tastes great!

As the oldest indian restaurant in the area, i was initially cautious, apprehensive of an amount of slippage over the years.

The last time i went was over 10 years ago, before the fit out, and was good. Unfortunately, it was so long ago that the memory is a blurry one.

I was massively suprised. My meal was amazing and the service was excellent. The inclusion of chefs recommendations on the menu was a welcome change to the generic tandoori restaurant, and instantly made me aware of its higher calibre. All meals i didnt know were explained well, and afterwards we werent rushed out, giving us time to finish our wine.

I tried each of my friends meals, and each was a taste sensation, with not a bad mouthful. I ordered a peshwari naan with my meal, and it was so sweet and light, it almost tasted like freshly baked cake. I cant actually remember what my main course was, as it was something new to try, but in recognising its name, i would definately order it again.

Me and my friends will be going there regularly from now on, and have also since ordered deliveries since, with no lack of quality.
