We were very impressed with the Broom Tavern. Excellent warm welcome.

We were made to feel like part of the community within seconds of stepping foot in the Tavern which was a very comfortable welcoming.

Although we were staying else where in Broom, Once we found The Tavern we chose to drink in their.

As the Land Lady Kat & Land Lord Steve were the most friendliest Publicans we have met in a long while.

They made us feel very welcome and we had such a good laugh within their company and the locals, which were just as lovely.

I Can't believe it is over a year since someone left a review about this great place....totally unpretentious, totally homely...really great place where the owners do all the work like the old days....no spotty young managers here, just great atmosphere and great food...took my mother in law who at best is fussy....and she couldn't stop raving about it.....best wishes for the future, the gaffer and his lady were top quality....great visit...!!

As a regular diner out, it is a long time since we (four of us go out every week) have found a place, to want me to look up and leave a review. Well the Broom Tavern headed by Steve & Katrina who introduced themselves, is a really lovely place to visit, not only was the place vibrant, lovely atmosphere and virtually smoke free (they leave ash trays of the tables waiting for them to be asked for) but the food & service was wonderful, the staff although young, were very polite and well versed, nothing was to much trouble even down to Steve getting me a cusion from upstairs(back trouble you see...!!) and we had a fabulous night, we will be back very soon, thanks for everything. 10/10 *****

Don't know when the the gentleman Bob Stepens visited the Broom Tavern, but it seems that he is inaccurate on a couple of things and would like to point out that the atmosphere when I was there was fab, and the whole of the restaurant/pub be as it will, was aglow with people happy in ther lot, thanks for a great night, the food was well above average and the decor a lot better than before,we were made to feel very welcome by the landlord and the locals alike, everyone(near the door anyway) said goodbye when we left which was a nice touch and we will be back.

Many thanks for a good night.

As a regular diner I cannot recommend this pub enough. The food is excellent, all cooked freshly as you order it, not microwaved as in most pubs these days. This means you wait a little longer but when it arrives you can taste the difference. This is great value for money. The staff are very friendly and the place has a real homely feel.

Contrary to the last review, the place looks great with what I am led to believe is terracotta on the decor, the carpet although blue has actually the picture of the pub woven into it, the food very varied, great selection and justifies the price, maybe the last reviewer was on a indifferent night, as when we were there the place was vibrant, great atmosphere and everyone made to feel welcome. We will definatly be returning.

Visited after a long time away, (3 years), having been a regular in the past.

Refurb not to everyone's taste - orange walls, blue carpet and Ikea furniture.

Food was very average and by comparison, overpriced.

Atmosphere was lacking the friendly, welcoming feel that used to be there. Where were the Locals?
