I had an excellent chicken balti here last week. Reasonably priced and in beautiful surroundings. If you require entertainment, you are only a stones throw from a gang fight at the nearby Yenton pub.
Anyway, back to the meal..... I have to say it was superb - one gets an essence of turmeric, cinnamon and dill, coupled with a hint of coriander, garlic and ginger and then an explosion of coriander that tantalises the pallette. With some melted fat on the top.
For afters I can thoroughly recommend the Percy Penguin ice cream, the quality of which you may only otherwise find in the reduced section of Iceland. Or possibly Netto.
And its good to know you can take your own beer, wine or Foxes Nob real ale. They even supply the glasses and on a good night they will uncork it for you.
The only complaint I can make is that sometimes the manager can be rude. He really thinks he's it. But he isn't.
