The Lodge Balti Restaurant - Shenstone

Having first experienced The Lodge through friends of ours about 6 months ago we are hooked. We meet friends and family there now for meals. Fabulous food, always fresh and hot, fabulous staff even the car park is attended. Make sure you book in advance. Bring your own definitely keeps cost down. Highly recommended.

I booked a table for 20 people for my wife’s 40th birthday celebration. We had a fantastic time, the menu is huge and the food was excellent! The staff were patient, friendly and quick to respond to our demands.

It took a little time between ordering and getting the starters then the main courses – but this was to be expected due to the size of our party.

The restaurant also decorated our table with birthday banners and balloons. I also like the fact that the carpark is attended. It’s the little things that count. Thoroughly recommended! My wife will remember this for years to come.

Two annoyed customers, Ordered 2 curries ... 2 x chicken dishes. Curry arrived marked up as chicken dishes. Dished up food ... one chicken one PRAWN. Rang the Lodge to let them know .... they questioned if we knew the difference between PRAWNS and Chicken (yes we do one lives in the sea and one live in the country).

They rang back .... 30 minutes later a replacment arrived (whilst the one right curry was drying out in the oven). Replaced curry.... Rang them back to see if they were going to speak to the chef and acknowledge his error..So we waited 1:45 to start eating one hot curry and one dried out curry ...

After 20 minutes on the phone they offed us 1 x free starter (thats customer service for 7 years of custom).Great experience ... recommendation .. have a Chinese or cook yourself!!

The Lodge is Brill! We also pass loads of indian restaurants to get to the Lodge as you cannot fault the food. It is all so fresh & delicious. Staff are really friendly, and its our number 1 choice for takeaway.

If you're after a Balti that matches any served in the Birmingham Balti triangle, look no further! We often go to Al Frash or Dawats on Ladypool Road in Birmingham but having read these reviews we thought we'd give Balti Lodge a try - we are hooked and is definately our first choice for a decent curry/balti in Lichfiled now and great value especially as you bring your own beer/wine.

The dishes are slightly milder than you might normally be served in Birmingham, so you may need to request them slightly hotter than you might normally be used to, but we thoroughly enjoyed our choices. Whoever wrote here that the portions are small must have a huge appetite - the dishes were great, with fresh ingrdients and very reasonably priced.

Great service but best to phone ahead even in the week (we phoned ahead even on a Thurs night and only just fitted us in at 9.00pm). We will return and no doubt become regular visitors. Heartily recommended.

we have been using the lodge for about eight years and to top it all we travel about 13 miles to get there passing numerous other balti restaurants but we just know we will get the quality of food we become used to and very good ser vice and by taking your own drink does keep the cost down especially if the children come with you.

Have been to the Lodge several times. Staff are friendly and decor is very pleasant. Food is good quality though portions not large. You bring your own drink which keeps cost down. Well worth a visit.

Simply the best balti in the area. We have been regular guests for many years enjoying their super food. Its bring your own drinks so this helps keep the bill down. I would expect to pay about £15 a head for everything. You do need to book a table to be on the safe side. They also do home deliveries in the local area this covers Lichfield. This is a brilliant service. Cant wait to go back very soon.

This Balti restaurant is a little local gem, we have eaten in or had many meals delivered quickly to our home in Lichfield. This place is a firm favourite of loads of people. The curries are always full of fresh ingredients and spices. The staff and owners are very attentive of their guests. Long live the Lodge. I'm booked in on Sunday night with friends can't wait.
