Moat House - Tamworth
your comments review this restaurant
We always go somewhere else for our carvery, but wanted to try the Moat House - we will never go there again. All the customers were complaining about waiting for the staff to come out and serve the carvery, and when we did get the meal the meat was dried up and the veg was stone cold, and what was even colder was the mash. (i tried it so I know it was cold) My partner fancied a little mash for once, but when he sat down to eat , it was stone cold. He took the whole meal back to them and asked them to put it in the microwave, which they did and then tried to give him the plate in his hands and nearly burnt him with the heat. BUT IT WAS HOT . I did not bother with mine because i was so disappointed, in the service, the meal and sitting in my coat becasue it was so cold.
Did not feel it was worth complaining - the staff seemed totally unapproachable.

I used to go to the Moat House some years ago when it was first class. Went last week - what a disappointment! The eating area was like a barn with a few tables scattered around and a stone floor which echoed when children ran round on it.We waited half an hour for our food, and the waiting staff were uhelpful. When the food finally came the vegetables were cold.
I eventually got half my money back after making a fuss and certainly won't be going back.

was there for a wedding reception the food was good services ok ,BUT ASK FOR THE PRICES AT THE BAR AS THERE ARE VARYING PRICES FOR THE SAME DRINKS
EG: Asked for a small coke paid £1.10 @ 8.30 asked for the same later on price had increased to £1.70 ,
Told it was the size of the glass that had increased the price . L.O.L
STILL A SMALL COKE .
MORE IF REQUIRED
