Jeevan Jyot

we have just been to jeevan jyot for the buffet and to be perfectly honest we both agree that this is possibly one of the best indian establishments around .. for miles. service 9/10 as we seemed to be followed each time we filled our plates up. and atmosphere 9/10 as the restaurant was only half full. a full 10/10 for VFM however. 2 x buffets and 2 x cokes for 15.80. we shall return again.

We have been using jeevan for years now and would highly recommend the food and the service. It is highly regarded by indian and bangladeshi cultures in fact most of the time we are the only white people in there lol the owner sabesh is lovely and always willing to help. Infact I am having my wedding reception in the back room in august for 50 quests non traditional I know but its lovely!!!!

excellent food,it was quiet this friday night,but im sure this is due to the roadworks outside that make getting to this "gem" of a restaurant almost impossible unless you have local knowledge.

No complaints from me,friendly,polite place and GOOD FOOD!!!!

Came here for a takeaway with my brother, he had chicken vindaloo, I had chicken madras, wife had mushroom madras, we had 4 naan breads. We're indian, so we know how a good curry should taste like.

All in all, we were very disappointed with the food. The currys were all swimming in grease, and the chefs think that adding extra chilli powder will make the curry spicier, this is the wrong way! The naan bread was ok.

There food is more expensive than other curry houses, and not worth the extra money. I will not be going here again. No wonder more than three quarters of the restaurant was empty on a Saturday night.

Avoid with a bargepole if you like quality food.
