Ristorante Romagna

We go to restaurants a lot. My wife asked me last week where I'd like to go for my birthday (which is tomorrow - 21 again..!) I didn't hesitate in saying Ristorante Romagna. Once again, we weren't let down. The staff are fabulous, the food is divine. Last week we went to Don Salvos (review on this site) and the two are a world apart. The starters were prompt, yet freshly cooked. Th mains were excellent. I have Spaghetti Al Aglio, a dish I discovered in Sorrento which is never on any menu, but whenever I walk in here the owner knows who we are and asks if that is what I would like. It is totally authentic and takes me back to the bay of Naples!! My Buddies staek was one of the best ever - rib-eye cooked to perfection. The pasta dishes the ladies had were excellent - canelloni smothered in chesse sause, meat sauce, seasoning, herbs - perfect. The bolognese is to die for. We didn't go for desserts - we were too full. A bottle of wine, four Perronis, four brandys, two courses each, four of us; 100 pounds. Great value, great service, great restaurant - or should that be ristorante?? Go here. Go for a pint at the Dog and Gun berforehand and maybe afterwards - you'll go a long way to find a better night out.

I have eaten now several times here and find the meals very good and the staff very friendly. They have a wide range of meals and the cost of the meal includes veg no extra cost fore this. recommend here to anyone likes Italian and other food.
