The White Swan

Excellent Sunday lunch. Staff friendly, drinks not overpriced and chef more than obliging. My brother comes all the way from Kidderminster as his local carvery is not a patch on the White Swan. This is our local carvery and we make the most of it.

Food has improved very much and the meat is lovely!
Drinks are a fair price aswell and staff seem to be replaced with more customer friendly people

I have been there at least 6 times. On a minimum of 4 of those occasions staff were unhelpfull, too busy gass-bagging to serve customers and although I hadnt experienced it myself they were rude to other customers. The carvery is excellent value for money, but I suspect they make up the profit on the drinks as they can seem overpriced! On occasions (when the nicer staff are in) it can be a very pleasant place to go. Portions tend to vary - some chefs are more generous than others when dishing out the meat (usually depending upon how full the place is). Otherwise you can apply your own veggies - be warned roasters run out quickly and there never seems enough to go around. For £4 its not bad. But if you really want to enjoy your meal in peace and quiet with polite and helpfull staff - this isnt the place for you!
