your comments review this restaurant

Following a very fortunate lunchtime stop at La Vita many months ago, we are very pleased to say this restaurant has become a firm favourite for us and certainly can compete with any Italian restaurant in terms of quality of food and quality of service that we have eaten at in Birmingham and further afield.

All of the staff go to great lengths to make you feel so welcome and there is a genuine feeling of interest and friendliness as the conversation flows - the managers and staff take care to be interested in you and your meal but not to disturb your food. The food here is always excellent, some of the best I have ever tased. Generous portions of exquisite Italian favourites as well as some specials to tempt the taste buds - a range of pasta starters and mains, chicken and fish options. On a recent visit we had some lobster ravioli which was magnificent and a tuna steak so large I didn't think I would manage half of it (I did as it turns out since the sauce was light and flavoursome and the tuna was cooked to perfection!). Their specials board is a hidden gem and they sometimes serve stuffed peppers with goats cheese that is a delight and must be tried! We have yet to taste anything other than superb cuisine at this delightful restaurant. The background music features well known classical and popular music with an Italian twist which creates a nice atmosphere while still allowing you to have a conversation. The walls are decorated in a minimalistic style which complements the furniture, but the restaurant is still cosy, with little cubicle seating areas for more privacy. Ideal for a romantic meal or a larger party, business lunch or pre theatre snacks.

The service is quick and staff informative about the food they serve. The prices are very reasonable(approximately £25 - 30 per person for a 3 course meal with a bottle of wine!), well worth it for freshly cooked food made with quality ingredients by the charismatic chef Lorenzo. This may well be the best Italian restaurant in Birmingham and is to be recommended to any lover of Italian food and wine :-)
