Piquant Restaurant

Went to this resturant a couple of weeks ago with a coupe of girls , thinking it might be another one of them indian resturants and actually it wasnt at all it was completly different . the food quite good and the sevice is excellent expecially from some of the waiters and ill be recommending this place . the only down fall is that service ie the response back from one of the waiters isnt completely up to scratch and might need brushing up.

I was passing by Piquant Restaurant Last Weekend with my partner - the restaurant was quite busy and I was advised that they were fully booked but they will try to get me a table within 20 mins so we stopped and waited in the lounge after which we got our table. The Restaurant looks quite small from the outside but when you walk in it is a completely different story. the decor and atmosphere is very nice. The service was excellent, the food was very different and nice and value for money especially in Moseley. My partner and I will be definitely going back very soon.

I visited this restaurant in April and was extremely disappointed. Yes - the decor is very smart and yes - other people's meals looked very good as they were carried tantalisingly past our table. Unfortunately though, despite us waiting nearly an hour and 20 minutes, we did not get to eat the meal we'd ordered because we got fed up of waiting and decided to leave. Sadly the rather modest starter we were served (after only 60 minutes) and the drinks we had during our lengthy wait came to over £50. As a result, this was probably the poorest value for money at any restaurant I've ever been to (and that's saying something!).

Judging by some other reviews here, that night must have been an off night, but I will not be going back in any more of a hurry than they were to serve our meal.

Instead I'll give my custom to one of the many restaurants that manage to serve good freshly prepared food without keeping customers waiting well over 70 minutes.

Not another curry restaurant in Moseley we all cry, but don't be too hasty.... The decor in this place is tastefully modern and spotlessly clean, they've got the lighting just right and the ambience to match. I've been here a several time since it opened and have been impressed every time. The food is fresh, and delicious; the subtle Indian flavours are apparent in each individual dish, no food colourings or nasty additives here! Portion sizes are just right and there are lots of great vegetarian choices. I can't believe how reasonable the prices are for such good quality food. Will be a favourite of mine for some time to come.
