My family and I from New Zealand were traveling around England and we stayed at the Hare and FIve Hounds for a West Brom game. The Bellagio restaurant was a gem we did not expect, the quality of the meals was excellent. I would recommend the fillet steak and pepper sauce, had to go back the next night for another. Thank you to the management and staff who treated us so well.

Sunday lunch set menu 3 courses for £9.99 very good value for money, food and service was good until it came to pudding....note there is only 2 choices for your pud 1) apple pie and custard 2) ice cream, after waiting approx 15 mins just to order our puds we then had to chase the order twice and wait a further 25 mins for them to arrive, finally we have our apple pie which seems like it was purchased from the local supermarket served luke warm with tinned custard, this would have been midly acceptable had the pudding have been home made and and at least served hot.

I did complain about this but the staff seemed to lack any kind of customer service what so ever.....very disappointing.

Would I reccomend this restaurant to anyone.......no way.

Like others, it appears that we are not the only ones to question the customer service at this restaurant. We have eaten here on a number of occasions with no problem that is until New Years Eve 2010. We were not told when we booked that the table would be required again after we had eaten for another sitting of diners. Our table was booked for 8.30 any by 9.15am we were asked to leave the table and return to the bar before we had even been served our dessert! When we told the waiter this we were hurriedly brought a dessert, needless to say we missed out on coffee and mince pies, the bar was crammed and we could not sit anywhere for coffee. I wrote and complained to the Manager who ignored my letter so wrote to the owner, recorded delivery pointing out our dissatisfaction with the customer service we had received. Again this was completely ignored. Also made a visit in person and spoke to the Manager who said he would sort it out but again nothing happened. It is very clear that this Restaurant do not care about customer's experiences with them, on top of all this we were charged for items on the bill that we had not had. They are obviously not aware that a dissatisfied customer will tell 10 other people about their dissatisfaction. This is a great shame as this Restaurant had great potential being the only one in the area of quality but we will be giving it a big swerve and not recommending anyone to eat there. All this could have been avoided by a simple acknowledgement to this complaint with the promise that their customer service skills be reviewed.

Visited Bellagio for a leaving lunch with 6 colleagues. The decor was fabulous and all of us new to the restaurant were very impressed. We were the only party there and the two or three waiters and owner were milling round helpfully. Starters came out - fish cakes and calamari were thought to be excellent, - fresh and hot. Two bowls of minestrone were terribly salty but the waiter advised "it is a naturally salty dish!" Main courses were served before the starters were finished, and unfortunately one colleague ended up with both her incomplete starter and main in front of her. Another vegetarian colleague ordered a roasted vegetable sandwich and was served with a meat and salad sandwich. A colleague was offered salad with her main of lasagne, at the end realised that it was an extra charge, and the lasagne was somewhat ordinary for £9. The mains for two colleagues were disputed. one stated she had ordered fishcake this was disputed until the owner re checked and then promptly brought out the fish cakes. Another colleague stated she had ordered the asparagus but ended up with aubergine and was advised by the owner "you ordered it and you don t have to eat it, but it will be on your bill," as he returned the disputed meal to my colleague.

When collecting the dishes, the waiter unfortunately decided not to go round us but stretched over our heads to collect the plates.

On Friday I checked and was advised they opened all day, but our coats were brought and placed on an empty seat just after we paid, so clearly we had to leave, although we have gone over to the bar for a further drink.

Atmosphere below given 7 as lovely surroundings.

Excellent food, and the service is fantastic. Pasta meals are unbeatable and the value for money again is unbeatable. I have eaten there many times and everything has always been of a very high standard. Cannot fault anything!!

I heard about the Bellagio through word of mouth, and was so impressed with the verbal review I was given, I went to see for myself. The information I had been given regarding the high level of service and food that had initially piqued my curiosity was delivered in full and if anything exceeded my expectations. The range and quality of food impressed me immensely. I have since been back on a number of occasions, always receiving a combination of friendliness and professionalism from the staff, and a quality of food normally only found in Michelin starred restaurants. A genuine gastronomic delight at modest prices. I would and have recommended to friends and colleagues ( my only concern is its popularity will get to great and I will not be able to get a table myself anymore!!) Truly Excellent .

I have ate at this restaurant many time with friends and family and recently had my birthday celebration there.I can not find a single fault with the food, restaurant or the staff.

There is a lovely atmosphere about this restaurant. The food can only be explained as Divine and the staff are always polite and extremely helpful.

This is a must place to visit.

18 of us went here for my mothers birthday for sunday lunch, waiter was rude took an hour for him to ask for our food order and then another hour for it to arrive and it wasn't very good, my son who is 7 had to wait ages for his main meal and it arrived in a fashion when everyone else had finished theirs and it was cold. When i complained i was told not to go for sunday lunch again because they weren't very good at it which left me quite speechless but he did buy eveyone a drink on the house which almost made up for the shoddy service and food until my mother asked why we had been charged £6.00 for 2 bread rolls and that she wouldn't be retuning in th near future the manager asked quite rudely that if she wasn't going to go back why was she moaning just don't come. Extremely rude people and none of the 18 people will ever go to or reccomend this resturant again in fact i will tell anyone i know to avoid it like the plague.
