Cucina Rustica

This is a really smart restaurant and I'm suprised It hasn't been reveiwed as yet. What I like about this restaurant is it has a grown up feel to it so it's perfect for a working lunch or a evening meal. It is deceivingly large and has extra space towards the back which would be good for a party booking. The food is very very good, although we're talking 'posh portions', I've never been left feeling hungry. The menu is modern and refreshing compared to your bog standard Italian (around the corner). The Manager runs a tight ship too. I have to say I was really impressed with how professional all the waiting staff were. They were very attentive without infringing on your evening. They were also extremely efficient and pleasant. We're taking my folks back there before xmas because I know that they will be impressed by it. It is a fraction more expensive than a standard Italian resturant but when you see the menu and sample the food, you'll understand why. I would much rather pay a little bit more for somewhere like this because everything is delivered at a high standard without being pretentious. Although It hasn't been around as long as some of the other Italian old timers, it should not be overlooked for it's youth!
