Buffet Island Chinese review by Ian
I have eaten at several Chinese Buffet places in this area and elsewhere and rate this as bog-standard, no better. There is plenty of food but it all tastes similar and they concentrate on bulk rather than quality. The servery was messy but I put this down to the clientele. It seems to attract the rougher sorts from Erdington, all baseball caps and tattoos, out for a trough on Giro night!
I agree about the drinks too. They are overpriced - we had a beer on arrival then wine, which was poor value. We asked for a jug of water too, as one of us was driving - they refused. This miserable policy alone would prevent me going back.
