Cafe Pasta - Stratford Upon Avon review by Steve Johnson
An excellent spacious venue serving very good quality and fresh food. The portions are generous without being too large. However, the experience is ruined by staff that could barely speak English which led to us being served with the wrong dish which transpired in the bill doubling. The mistake was not immediately apparent as we asked for the ‘lunchtime special’ which the hired help somehow translated into something from the a la carte menu at £15 per person instead of the £7.75 we were expecting. Several diners witnessed the event but the blonde Pole adopted a most hostile and unhelpful attitude towards us which was no doubt exacerbated by her not receiving a tip. You get what you pay for, which in our case was good food and in the case of the restaurant owner staff that will ruin their business.
